Local letting specialists Darwoods have been delighted to sponsor St Peter’s School in St Albans this year, including helping them with their very successful Summer Fair which took place on Saturday, 3rd July.
The Summer Fair is a popular event in the school calendar and vital for raising funds for the school. Darwoods’ To Let boards were used to promote the Summer Fair around St Albans and it was very well attended. Darwoods also supported an Auction of Promises evening run by the school to raise funds earlier in the year.
Said St Peter’s School Headteacher, Michael Connell: “We are delighted to have the relationship we have with Darwoods. Most recently they helped with our very successful school Summer Fair that drew in many people from the local community and provided much needed funds towards upgrading our nursery gardens and play area. At the recent nursery class sports day we were presented by Darwoods with a cheque for £1000 which will also go towards this important project.
“In evermore difficult financial circumstances, relationships such as ours with Darwoods are much appreciated.”
Overall the Summer Fair was successful in raising around £4000 for the school.
Darwoods have been specialising in lettings in St Albans for 15 years. As a long-established company with a large number of employees, landlords and tenants in the area they feel involved with the local community and like to contribute whenever possible by supporting local projects, charities, sports teams, schools or individual initiatives.
